During the three years of its activity, the “Bonjour”
Club has become a remarkable and powerful public organization. It unites 31
Astrakhan journalists; the club is headed by the press secretary of the
Governor of the Astrakhan region, Alyona Gubanova. Being energetic &
experienced persons, the “Bonjour” Club participants held a number of
actions, which aroused the public interest. Among them the publication of the
book “10 years which… Astrakhan from the Astrakhan journalists’ view”,
planting of the Journalists’ Alley, “Assistance to the veterans” action.
The club has an ecological experience: journalists came out into the dirtiest
routs of the region & cleaned up within the context of “Struggle for the
province cleanness”. After the cleaning they wrote publications, claiming
Astrakhan citizens keep Astrakhan roads spick and span.
The
Club members have a profound experience of participation in
various competitions; many of them became Governors’ Prize
winners. Moreover, the Club held “The Best Advertising
Product” competition, dedicated to the anniversary of the
Astrakhan region. The Club members want to popularize their
activities and struggle for open information & its
exchange. The Club Declaration, adopted in January 2002
states: “a prompt dissemination of information, acquired
exclusively by one of the club members, will increase the
influence our organization exerts on social-political life
of the region”
